Wood Hay Stubble Foundation

A South Carolina private foundation

Fire tests each one’s work.

We take our name from the things that burn — and give ourselves to the work that doesn’t.

Our mission

Wood Hay Stubble Foundation advances the Christian gospel and strengthens Christian faith worldwide by supporting local churches, Christian schools, missionaries, and mission agencies — through both grants and directly conducted missionary support and short-term mission service.

What we fund

We give, and we go.

Two commitments, held at the same time. We support the local church and Christian education close to home, and we carry a share of the work of the gospel abroad — not as distant benefactors, but alongside people we know and return to.

Upstate South Carolina

The local church & Christian education

Grants to congregations and Christian schools that preach the gospel plainly and disciple the next generation. We look for ordinary faithfulness over years rather than programs, and we prefer to fund the things that are hard to raise money for.

Italy

Global missions

Italy has one of the smallest evangelical populations in Western Europe. We partner with gospel workers there to plant and strengthen local congregations — and travel to serve alongside them in short-term mission.

Our name

Why “Wood, Hay, Stubble”?

“If anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw — each one’s work will become manifest … because it will be revealed by fire.”

1 Corinthians 3:12–13
